This Ultimate BLT Club sandwich recipe is simple yet delicious, combining crispy bacon, crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, garlic-rubbed toast, and more! With just a few easy-to-find ingredients and straightforward assembly, it’s perfect for a quick lunch or a satisfying snack. The minimal prep time and ease of layering make it a go-to option for both beginners and seasoned cooks.

Estimated time: 15-20 minutes from start to finish

Ingredients:

  • 3 slices of thick-cut whole wheat bread (trimmed of crusts, toasted)

  • 3 strips of bacon (halved)

  • 2-4 leaves of baby gem lettuce (or baby romaine)

  • A handful of fresh arugula (rocket)

  • 2 slices of a large heritage tomato (seasoned with salt and pepper)

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise (I make my own)

  • 1 clove garlic (cut in half)

  • Toothpicks for assembly

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the ingredients:

    • Toast the thick slices of bread to a dark golden-brown.

    • Rub the face of each slice with the cut side of a garlic clove while still warm.

    • Cook the bacon until crispy and set aside on paper towels.

    • Slice and season the two tomato slices with salt and pepper.

  2. Assemble the sandwich:

    • Spread mayonnaise on one side of the first garlic-rubbed toast.

    • Layer in this order:

      • 1 or 2 leaves of baby gem lettuce

      • 3 strips of crispy bacon

      • 1 slice of seasoned tomato

      • A small handful of fresh arugula

    • Add the second slice of toast, with mayo on both sides (if desired).

    • Repeat the layers:

      • 1 or 2 leaves of lettuce

      • 3 strips of bacon

      • 1 slice of seasoned tomato

      • A small handful of fresh arugula

    • Top with the third slice of garlic-rubbed toast (mayo side down).

  3. Cut and serve:

    • Secure with toothpicks and cut into four triangular points.

    • Stand the triangles on their sides to show off the layers.
